The "Elite" category
refers to national-level representation, where countries or regions field a single "all-star" crew made up of their absolute fastest athletes.
The IVF Singapore championship will host more than 3,000 paddlers representing 30 distinct nations ... closest thing to the
Olympics in outrigger canoe racing.

Paddlers
Dedication. Hard Work. Passion.
The paddlers are a diverse group from different schools and areas of Oahu, and they have developed a bond that shows in their coordinated paddle strokes. The respect for each other and the love of their sport carries unto the boat and their daily living. They become one unit in symphony with each other and the ocean. Their dedication, hard work and effort is consistently shown in their races such as their first place in the Pailolo Challenge and second place in the Molokai Hoe. Several boys have been part of V6 state club champion teams, V6 state school champion teams, and are top OC-1/V-1 paddlers.
